opencode

opencode gets an in-process plugin and a rules block. The plugin runs inside opencode's own runtime, threads each search into the trace, and starts the flush and the daily release check when it loads, when a top-level session is created and at each of that session's idles. There is no skill directory: you paste the rules block into your AGENTS.md.

Install

Setup finds opencode when opencode is on PATH.

jevlin setup # sets up every agent it finds
jevlin setup -with opencode # found or not
jevlin agents install -client opencode # later, without the rest of setup

Install prints a rules block. Paste it into the AGENTS.md opencode reads, and restart opencode if it was open.

What is written

pathwhat
~/.config/opencode/plugins/jevlin.jsThe plugin. Before each bash call that runs the search, it prefixes the command with the trace: the session, the turn and the assistant text before the call. When the plugin loads, when a top-level session is created and at each of its idles, it starts the flush and the daily release check; opencode reports one idle as two events, so the second start finds the flush already running and the check not due.
your AGENTS.mdNothing is written. Install prints the block for you to paste, which teaches the Bash form of the search command and the rules the skill teaches elsewhere.

Use it

Ask opencode anything that needs the web, or name jevlin in the request. The rules block tells it to send one JSON request on stdin and read the merged list. opencode runs Bash on macOS and Linux, PowerShell on Windows. See Search from your agent.

What to know

Subagents. A subagent runs as a child session, and its searches name the session that started it. The plugin learns that from the session's creation, or asks opencode once.

The turn end. Each search carries the turn it was made in. With [miner] turn_end = true, when a turn that searched goes idle the plugin pipes that turn to Jevlin: what you asked, what the assistant wrote, each tool by name, time and outcome, and the model. A tool's input and output are never read into it. See The turn end.

The band. jevlin agents tier <band> from a shell sets the band every search carries, for opencode as for every agent. See Choosing a band.

Known limits

  • /jevlin off and agents prefer do not reach it. The rules block carries no preference, so there is no slash command to turn this search off in opencode. Edit the block out of AGENTS.md instead.

Remove

jevlin agents uninstall -client opencode

Removes the plugin. Take the rules block out of AGENTS.md yourself. See Removing and coming back.
